About the event

Duration is 2-3 hours. We will meet at Sumner Clock Tower. This unit entails an annotated walk around Nicholson Park and along the beaches/cliffs including the following:

  • Identification of geomorphological processes that are shaping this part of the coastline. 

  • Observation of presence/absence of animal and plant species and a discussion around the reasons for these.

  • Observation of the relationship between the cliffs, beaches and estuary with the ocean.

Some rough measurements followed by a discussion about what they may or may not mean for how this place formed and the implications for the future this place.
